Subject: Fwd: Bush Asked to Leave Ft Hood

Bush Asked to Leave Ft. Hood

I sent my cousin in Fayetteville, N.C. (retired from Special Forces) that picture of Geo. W. visiting the wounded at Ft. Hood .. I got this reply:

What is even better is the fact George W. Bush heard about Fort Hood, got in his car without any escort, apparently they did not have time to react, and drove to Fort Hood.. He was stopped at the gate and the guard could not believe who he had just stopped. Bush only ask for directions to the hospital then drove on.

The gate guard called that "The president Is on Fort Hood and driving to the hospital." The base went bananas looking for Obama. When they found it was Bush they immediately offered escort and Bush simply told them to shut up and let him visit the wounded and the dependents of the dead. He stayed at Fort Hood for over six hours and was finally asked to leave by a message from the White House. Obama flew in days later and held a "photo " session in a gym and did not even go to the hospital. All this I picked up from two soldiers here who happened to be at Fort Hood when it happened.

This Busy/Obama/Ft.Hood story is something that should be sent to every voter in the US.
    Class shows up...
The doctor had his tv on in his office when the news of the military base shootings came on. The husband of one of his employees was stationed there.
He called her into his office and as he told her what had happened, she got a text message from her husband saying, "I am okay." Her cell phone rang right after she read the message. It was an ER nurse,"I'm the one who just sent you a text, not your husband. I thought it would be comforting but I was mistaken in doing so. I am sorry to tell you this, but your husband has been shot 4 times and he is in surgery."

The soldier's wife left Southern Clinic in Dothan and drove all night to Ft.Hood. When she arrived, she found out her husband was out of surgery and would be OK. She rushed to his room and found that he already had visitors there to comfort him. He was just waking up and found his wife and the visitors by his side The nurse took this picture.

At least he learned something from his completely ignoring New Orleans for days.

That assumes this is true (and I doubt the details of it) because I recall taking great comfort in Tony Blair's speech to the British Parliament post-9/11 at a point in time when Bush was engaged in some seriously cowardly fleeing to protect his own ass. We had to look to the mayor of NYC and to a foreign leader for support because the C-*in*-C was such a pussy. Of course, once it was clear Bush was safe , it was all manly "Dead or Alive" talk. Remember that? That we'd get OBL "dead or alive" (or, apparently, "not at all")?

If this was true, this would be all over Fox news... And yes, showing up after the fact when he can't really help anyway, who cares?
Had he showed up in New Orleans and promised the people there that the federal government won't abandone them, that would have been something.

You know who showed up in New Orleans? Sean Penn....

Yeah george II hasa a long pattern of saving his own ass at all times - remember his service in the National Guard back in the days were the sons of the rich and powerful could avoid service in Vietnam (combat) by getting special appointments in the National Guard.

Yes if this were true Fox News would have been all over it and accusing the Obama administration of mistreating george II. But even if Fox News does eventually publish it, it will not mean that it is true. Fox has a habit of picking up lies on the internet and publishing them as fact. But in this case Fox has not yet published it. You can only find this thing on dittohead blogs and email chains. This has all the appearance of just more red meat for the dittoheads.

Useful idiot Sean Penn showed up with a camera crew and a bunch of PR people. He did photo ops including one where he was rowing a canoe in about 6" of water. Then his boat sprung a leak and he "bailed out New Orleans". Some people are SO gullible.

Talking about stuff that happened over 4 years ago isn't very useful, besides Obama is lying to us now or has everyone stopped listening to what he says.

    It's on FOXNews.com: http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2009/11/07/george-w-bush-secretly-visits-fort-hood-victims/

It seems plausible enough to me. As the story notes, he lives nearby. Good for him.

Edit: I didn't read BR's post carefully enough. Some of it is definitely bullshit. President Obama visited Ft. Hood merely to hold a photo session in a gym - false!

It was widely reported that Bush went to Fort Hood after the shooting. But what has not been reported is that Bush rushed to Fort Hood without security. As I recall it was a few days afterwards the attack that Bush visited Fort Hood and he visited with his complement of security.

If he went, he was partially responsible anyway, since his policies led to the Muslims hating the US...

"Muslims hating the US" goes back further than anything Bush ever did.

Nevertheless the shooting was a direct response to his policies...

Why couldn't it be a "direct response" to the garbage he was being fed by the radical clerics?
Or do you see these teachings as truths?

Further, the last time I checked, Bush is out of office, wars rage on and muslims still hate the west.

Muslims hating us goes back to the Crusades and the Koran.

I think history is pretty clear, there has been a festering hatred in some segments of the Muslim world against the US for its support of Israel, involvement in Iran, Gulf War I, etc.

Good point String, we can go back to Carter, and the Shah, that seem to be the modern point, when Carter abandoned the Shah, let Ayatollah Khomeini, return to Iran, and then allowed the Shah to come to the United State for Treatment for His cancer, and then refused to extradite the Shah back to Iran for trial and execution.

I think it was appropriate to aid the Shah. I don't think it was right to meddle in Iran but who knows what the outcome would have been had we not? Remember the world was under a nuclear threat by two competing nuclear powers. And in the end people would still hate us for our support of Israel.
