Meanwhile there are people dying on the road but no! You can't get through because he has to help this kid with his math!

I'm just guessing here, Lucy, but I think the 911 system has more than one incoming phone line. Just a guess, mind you.

And interestingly, didn't I read last year about a little kid who called 911 "Just to talk", he was lonely. ....and in the conversation, the 911 operator figured out that the little kid wanted to talk because his Mom wouldn't talk to him. Wouldn't talk 'cause she was lying on the floor and dead as a doornail ...murdered by the little kid's father!

I was just poking fun at the idea of a 911 telephone operator taking the time to actually help the kid without giving him the answers. My favorite part was when he automatically asked the kid where he lived as if it were somehow pertinent to 15 take away 8.

But I can remember when it was a major deal, a major, world-shattering deal when I couldn't figure out what 15 take away 8 was! ...LOL! We didn't have 911 back in those days, but if we'd had it, I'd hav called it.

i do think that a four year old stressing over math homework is a crime.

Well it shows that he either couldn't go and ask an adult in the home or there wasn't an adult in the home available.

Oh, lordy! I didn't think about that .....and that's horrible.

Why did you have to tell me that, Lucy? I could have been happy going all year without hearing something like that.
