I know how nosy children can be b/c I found tons of shit I didn't know my mom and dad had(pot stash) and uncles had(porn stash). I even found my brothers stash of saved money and holy shit did he have a savings! Yes, I was a nosy kid. I knew what presents I had for Xmas and still was excited when I opened them. What were some of the things you found when you were going threw stuff when you weren't suppose to be?
I tried like hell to find my dads' pot--never worked. I did, however, find a big book about sex in the process. It wasn't exactly sexy, but it was helpful in other respects. Reading it became a ritual that I practiced anytime they left the house.
