I voted for both. It's biologically possible that a race is inferior, maybe even likely, but testing a culture that has been handicapped by centuries of mistreatment may not be accurate until all of those people have had access to all the same opportunities as--say--whites.

Then again, I could be wrong. In the end, even if those of African descent have lower IQ's, they are still human beings. We don't really, or should not really, form a society that judges human worth by how smart individuals are, even if a majority of individuals within a specific race are not as bright as everybody else.

My younger sister is as dumb as a box of rocks. Dumb. Dumb. Dumb. She's kind. Helpful. Will give you a kidney if you needed it, but she's not to bright. But she's still a human being. Intelligence is not the ultimate decider of human worth.

IQ-tests are culturally biased.

Uh no, this is not a scientific discussion. As you can see, no one is willing to remark on the evidence presented, but are going with their beliefs.

Do blacks and whites in the same society have a different culture? You showed me a study between Brazilians and Dutch. Not between blacks and whites in the same culture with equivalent results.

I am. It's probably true. Black people, on the whole, have lower IQ's based upon the measurements of the test. My response is, so what? Is there a direct correlation between high IQ and empathy? Success? Dedication? Morality?

Taken on the whole, an IQ test isn't usually the way we measure a person's worth. So, if an entire segment of the planet's population is measurably less intelligent than the rest, this really doesn't state anything other than. . . a segment of the population is less intelligent than the global average.

The groups involved were "immigrant children in the Netherlands (mainly children from Morocco, Turkey, Suriname and the Dutch Antilles)".. :shrug:
