My favorite life phrase which has been with me all my life is: per astera ad astrum The meaning of this phrase everyone/most know: through thorns to stars However, I learned recently that the other part close/dear to me stand by another latin phrase: Nemo me impune lacessit From translation it means: No one provokes me with impunity But what does that actually mean? I can't seem to understand the statement
Favourite phrase but you can't even write it correctly. Per aspera ad astra. Effectively: don't mess with me or you'll regret it.
So you thought it meant that unkindness will not provoke a like response from you? I see why you liked that sentiment.
