View Full Version : Is this the world's greatest head massage?
World's Greatest Head Massage (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=geLtFCxDs40)
The first couple of minutes are kinda "meh". Around 2:08 it gets to the part that looks ridiculously relaxing.
EDIT: Note the world's greatest prostate exam at 4:01. :D
Looks very relaxing, but I'd rather have a woman do that.
Men are better at it. Also at pedicures.

Still. It looks kind of intimate.

It's non-sexual, so the gender of the person giving the massage wouldn't matter to me. But the point is to relax, so if the person receiving the massage would feel more comfortable with a specific gender, more power to them.
Thats intimate? Not by Asian standards. We are huggy kissy people. Our personal space is much less than that of Europeans.

I know it's non-sexual. Intimate doesn't have to mean sexual.

It is by my standards :p
I hate it when people stand too close!

I mean face to face, when you're talking to someone and they stand to close. I hate it.

Sigh.. lol

We have a lot of emphasis on nonsexual touching and closeness, so its odd to see people keeping each other at a distance in other places.

It's just culture I guess. And what you are used to.

Eat spicy stuff and burp a lot. They'll learn...

Too rapid in general (throughout); not enough pressure to move the skull sutures; not enough time at the base of the skull, base of the neck, underneath the upper shoulderblade, and jawline; and the stuff on the back is disconnected as well as being disproportionately moving away from the spine rather than toward it or along it.
I can do better, technically. But the cosmic energy stuff is interesting. Mental focus is more important than generally considered.

Okay, the best part of the massage is if you get a guy who knows exactly where to pour the oil on the crown of your head so that a feeling of chill radiates down to your nose and ears and the back of your neck like goosebumps :D

Not Indians. :p

Are you talking about shirodhara? I've always wanted to try that, but I don't know of any places around here that do it.

Oil ? There is oil involved ? Why ?

Good point. Eat a hamburger and let a piece dangle from your lips. That might work for the Hindu Indians.
Oil ? There is oil involved ? Why ?
Oil reduces friction during a massage and some believe that various oils have healing effects on the body. There are probably other reasons, too.

No, in shirodhara the oil is poured on your forehead, what I am referring to is the prelude to a massage

There are several oils, they all have different nutritional or medicinal properties, coconut is the most common \
It used to be a hereditary profession with masseurs roaming around like this [minus song and dance]
