I'm trying to comprehend the rate law. I just do not understand how the rate= reaction constant, k, times the concentration of reactant(s). What is the purpose of a reaction order?

This is all that I am getting: the k value has different units (i.e. s^-1, M^-1s^-2 ... something like that) and the concentration is M. What I do not see is how this stuff connects.

I'm taking general chemistry 2 my second time around and this is what really just f***ed my whole life up: chemical kinetics. If some of you have answers or advice on where I can pick up general chemistry 2 for f***ing dumbasses please let me know. I'd appreciate it!
