when men get older their eyebrows change. The hair gets coarser and longer. Why?

They become old fuddy duddies and really don't care what they look like to others. Trying to find good barbers today to cut the style they have had is also a dying art.

But you never had to worry about them when you were younger did you? One day you woke up and these wild hairs were there. right?

It happens to many people as they age, some can take care of it by trimming, plucking, shaving and so on. Some people just do not care about it and just let it grow.

OMG! I forgot about the ears. I remember my grandpa having the barber trim his eyebrows and ear hairs. Now they have clippers so you can do it at home, but I think I saw an odd hair on my husband's ear lobe....hmmm, gotta go check.

I only have a few (two each ear), but I have dark hair so they kinda stand out lol
It looks a bit freaky, so I shave them off when I shave (the ear ones)

The odd thing is, they grow symmetrically. They are in exactly the same spots (left and right), both the ones in my eyebrows and the ones on my ears.
I'm a bit worried that it'll get worse.. lol

    LOL

you shave them? It would take them longer to grow back if you plucked them.
Do they grow in your normal colour or grey?

Pluck them ? Do you know how coarse they are.. ?!
Nah, I just shave them off occasionally. But they don't bother me that much, I was being dramatic before

    Hahahaha, this thread is awesome.

Women start to grow a lot of hair when they get older too. It's the only time a woman can get away with having facial hair.

At 65 my scalp hair is beginning to thin and I'll probably have a visible bald spot in a couple more years. But the rest of the hair on my head has been flourishing. I've worn a beard since the early 1970s but now I've got a few errant whiskers halfway up to my eyes that have to be shaved. The hair on my ears is now so bad that I have to shave it once a week when I touch up my beard. And yes, my eyebrows are thicker and the hairs seem to be stronger because they get longer before breaking off. They're not quite bad enough to bother with for appearances, but occasionally one hangs down and gets in my eye.

There must be some genetic code that keeps the total amount of hair on the head constant. So when it thins out in one spot it gets thicker somewhere else.

Basically we often have it stop growing or grow less on our head and all that hair starts growing out our eyebrows, ears, back, chest and even our asses.

Getting old kinda sucks, oh well.
