I think due to a mixture of human fantasy and the technology to offer a realistic version of their invisioned desires, if a real life holodeck is created it will be an almost endless cash machine.

My holodeck fantasy involves several hundred Picards, multiple Data's, and a two headed Worf. And Wesley Crusher... with no clothes, but not naked. That's entertainment.

Bottom line is they will most likely have a facility where people can go and pay for time, eventually it will trickle down to home based systems of some kind.

When that happens, all I can say is I want some of that stock.
