Why the fuck am I in school?Why the fuck must i abide by societies rules?, Have you ever asked yourself that question?..you wanna know why?, its because were following fake man made dreams which are cultured into us as we grow up. What are we searching for? Money? Happiness? Approval?
Why should I be told how to grow up, get educated, land a decent job, have kids and then die ''with a fully lived life''? It's all wrong. Society has gotten it all wrong.
Fuck this being slaves to society. Believe in shamanism. We should be united, be one. A mass togetherness of faith. We must send ourselves into a trance where we converse with God and allow ourselves to make our own choices and not be influenced by what society wants us to do.

I think those claims about how society forces things on you is a presumption that people are being told these things against their will.
Try living in North Korea. now THAT is being told things and forced to conform to society against their will. We choose to allow society to influence us because we ourselves are afraid of what society will think, because some people believe that what defines us as ourselves is how we appear to others around us, which makes sense because it is through other people's confirmation that we exist and who we are that we are able to make judgements about ourselves.
So a lot of people believe that part of their meaning is to create an identity amongst society, and that if they can't be different or same, they won't be anyone.
Its not that a lot of people are slaves or mindless robots... we like to assume that people are idiots to make ourselves feel superior, but most likely we should give people the benefit of the doubt or some credit. Quite a few people are well aware of society's standards and social pressures upon each individual, and some conform to it quite well. They just go about, but they don't allow people to see their individuality; that is they don't mind NOT standing out or being unique. People who try hard to be recognized, doing crazy things, trying to be popular, trying to make tons of money and drive fancy cars that they don't know how to drive correctly, those are the people who are labeled by "posers" or "biters" or "jumping the bandwagon" or "wannabes" whatever you want to call them. They find identity by posing as someone else or being the exact opposite, in trying to define themselves in relation or reference to another individual's characteristics.
There is no book that tells society what it expects... its a concept that is universally received through experience and perception of how other people view and allow it to influence their own lives that defines what we believe it is. Different people have different opinions on what society expects, some girls believe that being super skinny is what is beautiful, others think that having blonde hair or wearing sunglasses, or smoking is cool. Having a piece (handgun) is a sign of respect and class in a gang culture, having a car with shiny rims or spinners or chrome 20 inch rims and loud ass mufflers is admired or respected amongst amateur car fanatics or "rice'boys". Wearing Gucci or Prada and Versaci cloths and LV bags is a sign of economic well being, going to Princeton or Yale Harvard is a symbol of your educational status, and etc etc. These things are not taught to us, they are picked out from the plethora of cultures and expectations exposed to us and each individual is then able to pick or choose their own values and standards from which they live on or are interested in.
Even this forums has its own sub-culture built into it.
As much as we try to separate ourselves from society, we are very much the reagents and product of it. Cellar_door is correct, its ironic to condemn or blame society when it was society that put us in the position to be able to blame it. I'm sure someone starving in a 3rd world country or too poor to afford education would love to be in the position to be blaming society.
OP: nobody is forcing you to be in school. I'm sure many children in India would love to switch places with you, and while that may sound fun to be able to roam free and do what you want, keep in mind you can't eat beef in most parts there as cows are sacred. Also, it'd be more fair if you had malaria or tuberculosis, or maybe some cholera too every now and then. Having intestinal parasites and diarrhea all the time, sleeping in streets packed with other people. Oh you'd enjoy it I'm sure. just ONE of the books you read and understood contains more knowledge than probably half the people in Africa. And here you are complaining. NO sympathy from me. And all these people losing their jobs and having to go back to school again to learn skills in something that did not exist when they first started working. QQ

I read this book called "Jia" about a girl in North Korea who is trying to survive the totalitarian regime there. As I read I finally understood why the book was labeled fiction...it was nothing more but a propaganda. The author even admitted that South Koreans are putting people in jail for siding with North Korea ideologies and helping Koreans unite.
I am from Soviet Union, born there, raised there, and I have witnessed communism on myself, AND I LOVED IT. So dont say people are doing it against their will. Communism allows oneself to be part of one whole to loose oneself is to gain everything of more.

Shamanism was a form of mysticism which sought to find answers through "the ecstatic experience". Basically, through dreams, hallucinations, visions, and whatever else, the shaman would look for his/her answers.
Shamanism differed between whatever communities subscibed to it, but there is no such thing as a single system called "shamanism". Only a similar methodology (making yourself insane somehow, and deriving meaning from it)

Wondered the same thing today.
Watched the Red Dwarf Episodes yesterday, finding similarities to my own life and predicament.
Talked to my sister today, had a long long discussion about how I am in some kind of safe zone and am really weak and shit. None the matter she thought it was relaively normal but when she noticed how weak and stuff I am she began to talk to me on a different plane. It was a good experience that I had the chance to have and was pretty cool... Anyway I explained to her that I am in a safe zone and that I can't possibly touch the chess peice (pawn). In an ethusiastic rush to explain to her what I was trying to explain and what I meant, I played a chess game but before that picked up a pawn.
I showed her the pawn. I told her that I can't touch the pawn.
I told her how I felt about how the pawn was alive. The pawn exists. I cannot be mean to the pawn :roflmao:
When I finally decided that I was going to touch something, after all of this stuff: explaining to her that there isnt' an example of anything she could say of what was real! I was feeling really terrible and having her come visit me was actually very, very building of the body. It provided emotional attachment and mental health.
Played the chess game I played so fast.
The game was well played and of mid-decent quality. I'm not bad.
Before however I played the game I sat that pawn down after explaining to her how I had felt.
