Earlier Allen Greenspan made mention that corporate greed had taken a big dent into the economy. That the actions taken by Enron and others likely to come to light yet have been reflected in the ecomony. I guess my question is, "Has anyone noticed that it seems to be the years of give-back to the corporations from the individual workers as managers try to strip the worker of benefits to improve financial standing?" Yet at the same time I do not see the managers taking these same hits... Or is it just me?
I dunno, but those corporations are greedy flies. I'm constantly bombarded by people and companies trying to sell me something. And I'm aware that they're all very educated in human psychology, which they use as a weapon against us, the consumer. I hate commercialism. They don't give a crap about anything but money. It's the reason I can't listen to the radio. It's the reason I can't watch TV. Even then, you can't ignore it because they've probably hired telepaths that send you messages when you're driving down the road or sleeping. Ever had the sudden urge to immediately go out and get some Act II Butter Lovers pop corn for no apparent reason? It's not a coincidence.
Bill Hicks was right - the United States of Advertising But it's of course not only the US. Here in Thailand EVERYTHING is sponsored. Every sports programme has the GSM 2 Megawatt logo plastered all over the screen and presenter. Now everyone here has a mobile phone. If you don't you're a caveman. Yeah, it's right, I saw it on TV And don't even get me started on Coke... Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
