I think I might know. I don't want to ruin it for others. I have PMd you my answer.
Considering I have 4 sets of double letters in my name, I kinda notice when they pop up.

Ha ha, did you Google it Orleander? Not implying you did, but I was afraid this puzzle wouldn't last too long either because Google has made such searches way too easy or because somebody here must have heard this one before.
p.s. You are right

My Dad was big on puzzles. I know a ton of them. I only know yours because of my name. My first guess was Mississippi, but that's obviously wrong. :o

Bookkeeper, Bookkeepers, Bookkeeping.
I suppose we could debate whether or not they should be hyphenated but they're generally acceptable without.
There's also quite a few hyphenated ones, and one place name.

That I can think of there's only hyphenated ones, such as Sweet-Toothed. Do they count?
See if you can guess the place name.

poolloop: building swimming pools in a circle
(extra point for being the same backwards)
doorrood: a cross hanging on or built into the door, because: In the meaning "crucifix", rood usually refers to a sculpture or painting of the cross with Christ hanging on it.
If doorknob is one word, so is doorrood! :)

Seeing as your example states it as all one word I'm not sure I follow your obvious humour.

But it doesn't walk like a duck, or talk like a duck... and one out of three does not a label make.

OK, it TASTES like duck...
(Does it really matter? I just tried to explain what I meant by the word, it should have been descriptive and easy to understand.)
