In English yesterday we read a humorous short story about a guy who tries to cure his insomnia by coming up with palindromes, but eventually becomes so obsessed with this linguistic game that his sleeping habits worsen. Anyway, my friend and I have spent the last day trying to come up with our own palindromes.
Here are mine:
Tonk, a deity, tied a knot.
Puren nurse birthday irks - ask Riyadh tribe's runnerup.
Emo has a home.
Here volcano erupt pure on a clover, eh?
Emit gardened ragtime.
Granted, they dont make a whole lot of sense, but theyre palindromes nonetheless. My friend came up with some better ones:
No x in Nixon.
Not a banana baton.
Those are the only ones I remember.
What are some others? Try and come up with some on your own... its fun!
