Would it perhaps prevent a suicide that might otherwise occur without it? How about it preventing violence because it offers an outlet through website design? (KKK, etc.) Does the internet promote violent ideas? Is it more hurtful than helpful? Examples are: 1. Depressed person uses internet to escape their sadness, it works and they end up happy. 2. Someone finds love online 3. Someone finds a job online 4. Meeting a long lost friend online 5. Cooking reciepes are exchanged online Then there's the opposite, things which could be bad 1. Someone depressed seeks solace online, instead they find cruel people and decide to end their lives. 2. You meet someone online but instead of being what they claim they turn out to be creepy 3. Cooking recipes are exchanged but they suck 4. A long lost bully decides to look you up because his life didn't turn out the way he'd planned, later he'll visit you for a beating 5. Your boss finds posts you made on a message board and decideds to quitely send you to unemployment I could go on, how about your examples people?!
Guy has a good relationship with a great woman. Turns into an internet Porn junkie. Wife finds out and relationship turns bad. He lies, tells her he stopped but hasn't. Wife finds out and ends relationship. Guy gets depressed because his wife leaves and takes the kids. He turns to more porn and booze, soon ends his life with his dick in his hand.
