Need PC

Use newegg or directron to acquire me the following:

motherboard
case
psu
cpu

I already have 4 DDR2 800 so that will need to be thought of, also I have a 750 GB hd sata 2 and wireless nic + soundcard.

I just need basics to build a new better pc, the previous asus m3a sucked and the qfan didn't even work so it was louder than hell. I need this one quiet and such, I looked at antec sonata III but it really doesn't seem all that different than a normal pc case :]

have fun and see if you can keep this around 400 and umm processor should be better than the crappy phenom 9500 i had

I have a resistor on my CPU fan that drops the voltage and speed, making it very quiet.

I also dumped the PSU fan by using a Picopsu-120.

Bigger fans = slower speed = less noise.

I just found out that I cannot use the newest graphic cards because my MOBO doesn't have a PCI slot that can be used for the newer cards. Although it does have 5 PCI slots they won't handle the new cards for some reason and this really poisses me off because my MOBO is only 2 years old! So be very careful as to which MOBO you are going to buy but I'd suggest Asus for even though I can't use the PCI slots it isn't their fault, it's the graphic cards fault.

He fucks up his comptuers? hardware failure?

If it's just software, I recommend he learns the way of hard drive ghosting. (so a format takes 15 mins unassisted not 45 + however long it takes to install office, personalisations...).

Also, darksidZz, the first line of your post is a little offensive!

 

I think he made a mistake by using an AMD CPU. Intel seems to be more forgiving to poor design but i guess AMD, at times, is more on the cutting edge but not ideal for first time builders.

Easiest systems to build are Intel CPU's and Intel mb's. Go one level below fastest clock speed CPU because there is usually a high pprice gap or go alll out and use Xeon or whatever the equivalent is these days.

That being said, Asus makes my favorite mb's. The mb he used may havbe even had a design problem which does occasionally happen. Not sure though.

I just spent 4 grand on a new vehicle too, and I'm still recovering from that blow.
