I wouldn't think that a cell phone is a "fad".

I can't think of any I've ever succumbed to. Ever.

Actually, I remember back in the 90s, everyone at school was really into making these sorts of things out of beads. I did fall prey to that. I pretty much saw that disappear within less than a year.

EDIT: I forgot about pogs. That's another 90s fad I fell into.

Little before my time. Even though there is a cult following, it's not really a "fad" anymore.

I was into those when they first came out. I liked to solve it by taking it apart. Others:
    Lawn Darts
    Atari
Member's Only jackets and wearing your collar up
    Breakdancing
    Tamagotchi
    D&D
    Trapper Keepers
    Doc Martins

OK, some of these were my brother's interests and I just glommed on. He also collected scratch and sniff stickers.

I loved loved loved these. My Mom wouldn't get them for me so I bought some a few months ago.

I wore headbands and legwarms (Olivia Newton John's 'Physical' style) and while my Converse's started out as a nod to a fad, it has become a fad that stayed.

I have sex like all the trendy people, it's just unspeakably satisfying to orgasm into someone else's body, I started doing it in the late 90s when it was big and haven't really stopped.

Oh yeah. I remember that! Necrophilia was a big fad then wasn't it.
