What is an electrical spark and how does it affect HO?

What is the difference in electrical flow between ionized atoms and
    then simply electrons.

Are stray electrons heat? Such as the heat produced when electrons
    cannot pass through an insulator?

Does sound travel faster at higher temperatures? What effects of this
    would one observe?

How does a storm create an electrical field, leading to the strike of lightning.

Any and all help will be much appreciated.

    What's HO?

Do you mean: what's the difference between ions carrying electrical current and electrons carrying current?

    Or what?

No. Heat is a form of energy transferred from one object to another. Electrons are particles.

That's heat produced as electrons lose energy in collisions within the insulator (or, more usually, resistive conductor).

In what substance? In a gas, usually not, because the gas density decreases with increasing temperature.

This is actually very complicated. It is thought that particles of ice become electrically charged. Small particles tend to get transported to the top of the cloud, creating a charge separation between the top and bottom of a cloud. In turn, this charge separation induces an electrical charge on the ground. When the charge difference is large enough, the electric field in the air can become large enough to ionise atoms in the air. This creates a conducting path by which current can flow from the cloud to the ground; that is a lightning strike.

You're probably right, Betrayer, but hydroxyl is always represented as OH, which is probably why James was trying to clarify.

This isn't from your homework or something is it?
