There are a couple of little girls around here with that name. I can't stand it for a girl.

Brittany I always hated that name.

What makes the names annoying? Is it just a pet peeve or something. I think my name is annoying. Because everyone likes to remind me that its a boy's name. But in that sense its different. Plus its one of those stereotypical names that makes people assume my looks and personality before they even meet me.

 

Whenever I hear a name I tend to picture the kind of face and manner that a person with that name would typically have.
Some names are innately annoyingly faced.
Joel especially, an american "jawl", fuck that guy. Look at his stupid face in your mind.

Anyways... annoying names:

Nikesha, Charaine, etc. You know, the names you'll see so often on stuff like 'America's Next Top Model'.

To a lesser degree, I also find nouveau iterations of otherwise correctly spelled names to be annoying: Cyndi, Shayne, Britney, etc...

 

Shane is an annoying name actually. I don't find unusual names annoying, I find common names commonly had by fuckheads annoying.
Not as a rule, plenty of common names are fine, but a certain few are just too ... I don't know, Kyle.

 

I met a woman who'd named her daughter after a car - the Citroen Xsara.
But even after seeing the adverts she was too stupid to pronounce it correctly: the poor child now has to go through life being called "Ex-Sara"

The actual reason I don't like hispanic names is because the sounds used are usually annoying, same with black names

My name isn't Marie. I hate when people spell names weird too. My co-worker's name is Shaoiun. No one says it right the first time because its really just 'shaun'. What the hell were his parent's smoking? They aren't foreign or anything. I also hate names that are just terrible joke, like Hopper or Humper (he changed that on his 18th birthday). Shanda Leer, Candy Kane, Smeezy, or Jakember.
