The Star Trek The Next Generation marathon is on today on the SciFi Channel. Just thought I'd let all you Trek nerds know. ~String
They should run the Farscape series again, that would be better than Star Trek being rerun every 6 months.
Gasp! I'm not the only one. Though, unlike other Robin Hoods, I have the series on DVD. Twas one of the greatest scifi series in all of history. ~String
Agreed, I never understood the people who said they didn't "understand" it. Just because it wasn't afraid to step away from a formulaic "we're in space so we'll do space ships every week" format. I loved the Looney Tunes episode Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
The Greatest epsisodes were: Liars Guns and Money (I, II, III) Season Of Death (I, II) Into The Lion's Den (I, II) We're So Screwed (I, II, III) and Peacekeeper Wars ~String
I did 6 Seasons of 24 once, that was a very bad idea. 18 hr's none stop for each Season, did I walk away thinking it was worth watching??? Actually I wondered what day it was, but that's what happens when you try these endurance stunts. (I wonder if Blaine's going to try that next, Watching All Star Trek Episodes back to back)
Funny you should mention 24 marathon! After quiting a job I had (about two years ago) I took the month of June off before starting my new job. I watched seasons 1,2 & of 24. Much like you, I sat and watched it, probably 16 hours a day. It was crazy. After I finished all the seasons, I was delarious and had no clue what day it was or what was going on in the "real" world. ~String
For the luckiest of you, who have internet, there can be any kind of Marathon, anytime. Any series can be accessed, just so you know...
Marathons are great, they're the most satisfying way to watch anything because there's nothing you feel like watching more at any given time than the next episode of the thing you just watched. And a marathon with a hangover? Fuck me, it doesn't get better than that. But fuck sci-fi, that's probably the only genre of television I have no interest in, everything between the sopranos and americas next top model is fair game for sweet marathon action.
I discovered the series House quite late. It already had about 80 episodes and I only had seen about 10. So in less than a week I watched the rest online. Speaking of House there will be a Marathon on the channel USA on Sunday I think.
And when you send me this... this... "internet" contraption, will I then be able to watch all these amazing shows?
Most assuredly, and you will become instantly attractive to every [insert gender of your choice], win the lottery and never go bald. For another mere $2500 we will also send your internet via a reliable delivery service to ensure that it doesn't get lost in the post.
