You have a fourteen year-old son. You are dying. He is beside you. You have enough for a couple minutes of speaking. You want to tell him life lessons, the most important things to do, what color to absolutely NEVER wear with green, anything. If it's a family secret or whatever, just say that. Have fun you nubs
I have a 12 yr old son. I would tell him how much I loved him and how proud I am of him. I would tell him to try and take what I have taught him and try to use good judgment in the future. To grow up to be a responsible, caring, respectful young man. That I hope he finds all the happiness he deserves and has beautiful kids someday, like I was blessed with.
I can’t remember what movie it was but the father was in the hospital dying and the boy was bed side and the father I think who was a preacher or something was telling his son to get laid as much as possible and to find women with big ones, can’t remember what movie it was but it was funny.
On a serious note though I would simply tell him to follow his heart and do what he knew was right, as well as to be the person he is and not who others want him to be.
If I told my kids that, they would be like. "yeah yeah, what ever. You've already told us that. A LOT!" Heck, I even have an "I Love You" song that I made up that my daughter still asks me to sing to her. Wouldn't you want to tell your kid something more profound?
How about "I always supected you were the milkman's kid, but I don't suppose it makes much difference now"?
Don't you worry bout me, now you're off on your own little adventure, and I'm proud i could at least prepare you for it.
what is more profond that "i love you"? to say "ill be watching over you" is just a lie of course to say "ill always be with you" is the truth biopsychosocialy speakingPlease Register or Log in to view the hidden image! on a side note has anyone of the australians here seen the recent cancer council ads? they always make me cry, especially the bride
My son would laugh, my daughter would be horrified and demand a DNA test. She just doesn't 'get' me like my son does. Another reason why he's my favourite. ;D
for some reason that reminded me of this songs lyrics. I hope you never lose your sense of wonder, You get your fill to eat but always keep that hunger, May you never take one single breath for granted, GOD forbid love ever leave you empty handed, I hope you still feel small when you stand beside the ocean, Whenever one door closes I hope one more opens, Promise me that you'll give faith a fighting chance, And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance. I hope you dance....I hope you dance. I hope you never fear those mountains in the distance, Never settle for the path of least resistance Livin' might mean takin' chances but they're worth takin', Lovin' might be a mistake but it's worth makin', Don't let some hell bent heart leave you bitter, When you come close to sellin' out reconsider, Give the heavens above more than just a passing glance, And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance. I hope you dance....I hope you dance. I hope you dance....I hope you dance. (Time is a wheel in constant motion always rolling us along, Tell me who wants to look back on their years and wonder where those years have gone.) I hope you still feel small when you stand beside the ocean, Whenever one door closes I hope one more opens, Promise me that you'll give faith a fighting chance, And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance. Dance....I hope you dance. I hope you dance....I hope you dance. I hope you dance....I hope you dance.. (Time is a wheel in constant motion always rolling us along Tell me who wants to look back on their years and wonder where those years have
