My ex-husband had to go away for a while. I feel for you. For me it started to feel like emotional blackmail and I got resentful. I was just so tired. Are you getting help as well?
I suggested that he should seek a doctors care ASAP because his meds might need to be "adjusted". Over time medications often lose there effectiveness and must be changed or increased for a patient in order to keep them in balance.

I hate to be the cynic: but shouldn't you be at his side, instead of posting here ?. It's not like any of us live near you guys so we can come and help.
I'm both sorry and glad he is in the hospital. It did not seem he wanted to be there. Could it be possible for him to use the internet from the hospital? Perhaps having something else to think and talk about would be good for him.
