In my travels around the world, I have noticed the distinct lack of choice in crisp (potato chip) flavours in other countries.
Here in England, we seem to appear to enjoy a vast and varied range of crisp flavours.

So, I wondered if a 'representative' from other countries/areas could (be bothered to) list the flavours available where they live.

    Obviously, I'll start:

I don't eat Potato Chips but I buy them for the kids and B/f.
These are the flavors that they really like.

    Btw; I am in Canada

    Ketchup
    Barbeque
    Salt and Vinegar
    Sour Cream and Onion
    All Dressed
    Dill Pickle
    Smokey Bacon

The above list I buy on a regular basis...

Now some new ones have come out that I have bought for them.

    BBQ Rib
    BBQ Chicken Wings

I am sure there a more but those are just the ones I have purchased. Then there are taco chips, that is a whole other thing.

The Kettle Cooked ones are the favourites in our house. Much crunchier. My husband likes Salt & Pepper.

    We usually have:
    Jalapeno Cheddar (my favourite)
    Guacamole
    Loaded Baked Potato
    Sour Cream & Chive
    Ranch
    Mesquite BBQ
    Cheddar
Dill Pickle (gak! but kids likes it)

a radio station here recently got together with smiths to design the "peoples chip". They eventually settled on a gravy flavored chip

i dont know, never got a packet. It was a limited run that they were handing out, but im sure they will eventually market it seeing as how it was so popular. If they do i will buy one and tell you

    Slightly off topic.

    Another slightly off-topic...

I was surprised to find out that Austrailia apparently has no grape flavored candy, and that "fake" grape purple flavor we (America) have for candy and drinks is completely unheard of.
At least that's what my Austrailian friend who stayed with me for a few months told me.

    Are they purple?
Do they taste like actual grape flavor or like the hyper-sweetened purple falor candy we have here.
My friend is from Canberra, and she was floored when she tasted it.
I bought her a bag full of purple flavored treats to take home with her.

It's hard to explain the flavor.
It tastes vaguely similar to concorde grape, but with a very generous helping of high fructose corn syrup and a hint of honeysuckle.

No, but I love raspberyy almost as much as I love chocolate (the two together are worth killing for).
I will look for them now.

They are no good for you, you know!
Anyway, I don't hold with all these new-fangled crisps. Back in the Old Days, when there was rationing, and policemen still wore their war medals on their uniforms, there were just plain crisps, they were always Smith's crisps, and they had little twists of salt in blue paper. Until the fateful day when they went up to fourpence, they cost threepence a bag. And they were for kids, like toffees and pear drops. When did adults start eating crisps, anyway? They should grow up and start eating cabbage!
