What did everyone think of them? From any point of view: artistic, political, personal...

Actually now that I look at it, I could have put in this in the World Events sub-forum

Well, I watched and was impressed with the technology they were using on many levels. The choreography was very well done with over 1000 people taking part in the dancing and other exhibitions. The costumes were also made with a very high degree of flamboyant color and merriment. The music was also done with great composition involved. Girls flying overhead were almost like butterflies attracted to lights and hung in mid air without a support line to be seen. The people that were walking on the huge sphere that arouse out of the floor of the arena was spectacular and awe inspiring. The fireworks weren't that impressive but added with the lighting special effects they were much better.

They did an Outstanding job of the whole production and I give them many kudos for a work well done.:bravo:

I was on sciforums. Or rather in front of my computer.

Did catch a glimpse of it, then the tokenistic olympic Australia ads that followed turned me off.
