    yeah but for example RF Online is a brilliant MMORPG, and is free. Download it and try.

    As much as I like ST, EVE will still beat it. All MMOGs are pointless though in my opinion.

    Considering Star Trek is a trademark, it would suggest that they would be paying money to license it or otherwise pay royalties. This would infer that they intend to charge to cover that cost, since an online MMO has a cost of maintenance that far exceeds the packages shop price.

    On another note, it's not the only Space game in development.
