I was curious as to why people have such strange impulses. The first thought that came to mind was instinct or self-preservation or something like that, but I was listening to some impulses that people I work with have had and they seem to be more self-defeating than preserving. Like one guy says that he gets the urge to throw coffee on people just to see what would happen or another girl says she sometimes gets the urge to jump off of bridges or piers into the water. Like the water is calling her or something. So I did a little research and found out that impulses like these are common (I admit I have had the urge to stab myself just to see what it felt like I wasn't suicidal or anything). Has anyone ever had strange urges or impulses like that? And why do people have them?
Many people buy many things just on impulses only, not really needing or wanting something but because they are attracted to it for some reason or other. Many stores like to have allot of eye candy goods all over the place for people to see it then buy it because of the way it looks. I'll admit I have bought stuff on impulse like certain foods or products just because they looked good.
I have to stay away from the edge of the upper level at the mall. I get the impulse to do a swan dive. Heights just do that do me. I don't want to die, I just seem to want to leap
I think you're right. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! I don't want to soar around, I just want to hover/glide a bit. Kinda like surfing the air. Its just weird how it draws me.
You should experiance the sport of sky diving if you really want to enjoy the feeling of real flying.
I can only hope that it was a one story house with nice thick green grass to land upon or perhaps some fresh snow.
