what's with love?

New thread folks, this isn't about sex, or any of that..It is about one thing: Love
I would like to know, why is it so powerful?

I've had an icky week..Par some..stuff..school hasn't been going too well, and things just seem to be coming to a head in every area of my life

But

I get home from school today (half day - yay!) and see in the letterbox 2 letters for me..Who are they from, you ask? *suspensful music*
My 2 nephews, whom I love to bits

How did just seeing their names on the back of the envelope make me forget every bad thing happening to me, and grin like a complete and utter fool?

What the hell is with love?

You know Ive been wondering the same thing. In all other areas in life, I excel. But love, I just cant handle. Even the love for my mother, for instance, It hurts so much when the people you love hurt you. But it feels sooo good when they do something good. I hate it! I wish I could find a medium, in love.

When you try that, It loses It's true meaning, and Its natural simplicity...

There's no opposite for Love. Fear may hide Love but it doesn't destroy it.

Love is what makes people connect, what gives you a bond (don't know if I spelled it right) between you and your loved ones. May it be your child, parents, friends or the one beloved you find in life. If you find that one particular person with who you want to stay the rest of your life-time, then take him/her as he/she is and don't try to change him/her. It matters in real love whether you can agree to disagree and at the same time still be connected.

My feelings of love are at the same time the purest and most true emotions I have ever felt and they are the emotions which make me lose all self-confidence and look at my self harder then I ever imagined I could, plus make me jealous depressed and a slew of other horrible things. All because though I love her with all my heart she doesn't feel the same way about me, never will and further more would be more likely to love my best friend or my worst enemy, shes had relationships with both but not me.

Love is beautiful and sucks at the same time, its a pure contrast.

 

Unfortunatly, most people know love...
But not many know Love...

I'm almost the only one that I know that knows Love...

The love you and other people describes, a love that hurts, is not Love. It's attachment, it is need.

Love has no needs, it is self-fulfilling.

You don't need someone. You want someone to have fun and share your life with this person. That's Love.

And sorry about a misunderstading. Everyone have Love, but not many are aware of the difference between Love and love...

 

Allright, the one thing about love (or Love, whichever) that we can agree upon is that it is a biological process which helps conception and nuturing of a child. Allright beyond that it is one's philosophy, psychology and a various other factors which bring on one's ideas on love that they follow. Truthseeker isn't arrogant in saying that he is the only one that understands his concepts, but that, however, is because they are his.
