How many of you all garls and guys have sock puppets here...?
You don't need to name them... I already know six members here who have admitted to having more than two. I myself, come by the same name, and never have found sock-puppets very admirable.

How predictable... and yet... the point should be clear... especially after the atrocious behaviour and predictability... Now, how predictable was it that i would find all of this annoying, to actually post and make a point?
However, Ben, you are one i can eliminate from the list. Nothing you say seems unoriginal, from grammatical and ... well... i think you might get the point now.

I think Ben meant what's the point of having a sock-puppet.

I did, in fact, have a different handle when I first showed up here, but that's a weird case. The user doesn't appear in the members' list, which suggests that for a while we could sign on as guests and just give ourselves a name. Try this early discussion (http://www.sciforums.com/showthread.php?t=2368) for Issola's brief appearance, and also the transition to my current incarnation.
I consider the sock-puppet route more effort than it's worth. Tracking multiple user names in order to yank people's chains is generally an exercise in futility.
Futile. Worthless, and pathetic.

I back some time use to have a Sock it might occasionally appear on very special occasions where a personal view I have might upset the equilibrium. When that happens it makes it's statement and then disappears into obscurity for months until the next time. It has not been used in general for a while and I can not recall the last time it was used, however it's not a poster to be made deals with in what it thinks. I would state the points as who I am however they go beyond riskying and what I'm willing to have this overall character linked to.
Believe me you'll know if you've been personally bitten or stung by them.
