My g/f's current Uni where she is doing her PhD has asked her to go out and find some funding so she can get a team together to carry on developing her research theory. Has anyone here had to get funding? Could you share any tips or your experiences please? Also how does the funding will work? Say for example she gets £100,000 from cancer research. Would she then have to manage the budget? Or would the Uni do this and pay her monthly? What would her relationship to the Uni be or would this be something that is agreed between them? Cheers
it all depends on the contract. I am sure that whoever does provide the funding, will be a company interested in the research your gf does...whatever it is. And I am sure the company will need a detailed analysis of how their money are being spent.
