Recently Palo, Cedar Rapids have flooded and we have heard NOTHING about them on the news in Uk, But when Bangladesh floods we hear about it all the time, and lets be fair Bangladesh is built on land that floods...

So why don't we have any news about Cedar Rapids on the news???

Isn't it news aswell? or do we just have to be concerned about our Islamic neighbours?

Flooding in Bangladesh tends to kill many more people. We just load up the pickup and drive to mother's house.

because one is a country and the other is a town. The more people that are affected, the more important it is. If my basment floods it doesn't make the news.

...darkened building in the flood...the rising Cedar River when...than 120,000 people was under siege...biggest flood in history was uncontrollable...nightfall in Cedar Rapids, 3,000 families were homeless and there were...a time ? left officials predicting...

yeah sure just a few people, and what if they ahd no families to go to, why should Bangladesh flooding make top news, 120.000 people does not make a few!!

It's currently not socially or culturally appropriate to care about white people, it's seen as offensive to other ethnicities, and the sensitivity and comfort of people with skin ranging from caramel to black is of higher importance than the lives of white people.
It's seen as a disaster when something bad happens to white people ONLY because there is a concern that some ignorant white people might express sadness over the incident, in doing so outraging other ethnicities, so there's a bit of a rush to cover it up and make out like it was nothing.
Even the white people being flooded knew this, and while drowning some would spot a news camera and pretend they were just out for a swim in the lake on their prestigious country estate, sticking a thumbs up out of the water's surface as they sunk to their doom in case there was any doubt over their wellbeing.
