I discuss the issue of this occurance.
I don't understand however Blobrana why you say laying low? Sunspots are area of cooler thermonuclear reactions then the rest of the Sun...so lack of sunspots is actually a sign that the Sun is fully active.
dragon. Sunspots are holes in the sun's surface caused by magnetic storms. Magnetic fields whip up the plasma, so making the sun hotter than it would be without them. If this continues, the Earth will cool and we could have another mini Ice Age, or worse.
Last year was globally cooler than what we have had in recent years because the sun is "quiet"
.
kaneda...but I am correct in stating that sunspots are cooler areas? or no?
