The highly specialized molecules in tin foil block alien mind beams. It has been pseudoscientifically proven by several very respected pseudoscientists that metal hard hats wont work.

I don't agree with the dome shaped configuration from this site. It needs to be pyramid shaped so it can deflect the mind beams at an angle, whilst focusing the energy of the wearer's brain info a defensive shield.

pyramid shaped....ah, good point. Must it be tin foil? Can't be aluminum foil?

Aluminum foil can also be used. It's relatively shiny and malleable into hat shape, so it's bound to deflect alien mind beams

They're hard to find, and expensive.

And you can't trust the source. Government approved hat ? I think not. I know mine's made of OK stuff, with no hidden "features".

Anybody know if they protect against cellphone emanations ? Aside from the loud conversations, I mean, which require a shillelagh.

Nah, £20 gets you a WWII GI metal helmet. Of course, being military issue, they have mind controlling nanotechnology built into them, and as it's powered by nukuler power, it will remain active for like, ever, ...
