Thank those who served and who died for the American way of life. Those who sacrificed gave their all to insure other Americans a freedom we have toady.

At the same time, let's not dishonor the fallen, by shallowly glorifying all USAmerican wars, or by contributing to the false insinuation that all sacrifices of our fallen comrades have been necessary to our freedom. In making easy revisionist and propagandist references to our military history, we dishonor our core principles of liberty and justice, and we approach the same shortcomings and pitfalls of every militaristic and tyrannical regime that we have opposed.

I'm out east for a conference and was able to attend this year's wreath laying at the tomb of the unknowns. Very moving.
