Why is it, that men and women spend ages complaining and moaning about our better halves but when they go away for a few days, we miss them like crazy? I mean my husband has gone away back to wales for a few days, and i miss him like crazy, but when he was here with me, i was always complaining that he was under my feet! why can't men or women make they're minds up?
You're basically unhappy and blame him for your unhappiness. When he's there you blame him for that. And when he's not, you blame him for that again. Do you like popcorn?
i am not unhappy, i like my life the way it is, complicated and mad, i just don't like it when he's here, it seems to me that men whatever they do, cannot win! and yes i do like popcorn
So do you like it better when he's there or when he's not there? I had a small bag of the toffee variety yesterday. It was... ok.
I had a huge conversation about this with my boss who is a social worker. It basically boils down to you being annoyed with them while they are there. And you get used to feeling that way all the time. Then when that person leaves, you don't feel the way that you are used to feeling, so you miss the person that you direct your emotions towards. Even if those emotions are negative, you are still not feeling the way you are used to feeling.
Perhaps what you really miss is the ability to re-direct your frustrations onto someone else??? Ive noticed that when women are together in groups they tend to complain about other women not present. But if one male is added to the group, they start complaining about men in general!
whilst this sounds sexist it is actually true, and the reason why my mum doesnt talk to any of our neighbours. she said "all they ever talk about is the person who isnt there"
Men complain about women too...but they tend to do it in song! Ohhhh girl....look what youre doing. Ohhhh girl....youve brought me to ruin. Thats the template for every blues number ever recorded! Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
haha.,but i mean guys dont complain about guys as much as girls do about girls. i have 3 girl friends and if you listened to them individually you would think they all hated each other, but they are "best" friends.its weird.
Our minds swing from varying degrees of attachment and aversion. When we don't have an object we want we develop attachment for it, then after a time we usually develop aversion to it. Swings and roundabouts. Contentment is a very difficult practice for most of us.
June 5th is my first wedding aniversary. For this first year, I spent about 30 days with my husband. :'(

He is in the US I am in Brazil, waiting for my spouse visa so I can go live with him US gov is very cruel
not only cruel for spouses, but for daughters of men who have already got they're visa's, i wanted to go and live my dad for a while, and i couldn't go because the red tape was stupid!! LIFE'S NOT FAIR!!
It just makes my head boil that some indian on a work visa can get married and bring his wife along in two weeks, while my husband is a US citizen by birth has to live alone for 10 months and counting. When you get married, you want to take care of eachother, bring breakfast to bed, arrange all your pretty things at home, have a bath waiting for when he arrives... Our things are all boxed up in my cabinet, and I get to sleep alone every night, and spend every weekend laying in bed in my pijamas indulging my misery. Bureucracy is so dumb.
yeah i know what you mean, i knew a guy who married a woman (from the phillipines) and he was allowed out there in 3 weeks, me i want to be with my dad because we don't know how long he has left (to live) And you who wants to be with her husband and red tape is bogging you down. all i can think right now is my dad is going to pass away without knowing i love him, but i do!! (not the time or place i know)
