achole wipes will help the infection (as will betiadine) but it could have resulted from an alergy to sergical steel (my partner has this) so replacing it with a titanium bar may help as well
I had the top of my ear pierced which got infected eventauly I had to take it out as it swelled too much,But I got it done again a few weeks later and it was ok. If its that bad take it out, It won't take long to heal over and you can have it done again.Better safe than sorry.. Salt water, alcohol wipes, clean the whole bar....
What kind of piercing is it (where are you pierced)? EDIT -- and one other question ---- is this a NEW piercing that's still healing, or an old piercing that's already healed and started hurting? How long have you had it?
Buy some savlon wound spray. Clean the area gently and thoroughly at least four times a day for a week. If the soreness and swellig doesn't start to dissipate after a week I'd go back to the piercing parlour and ask them for advise. You may have to take it out, let the hole close over and heal, then have it re-pierced. This link might help too http://www.infinitebody.com/index2.html
it is a nipple piercing, no its not a new piercing, i have had it now since august last year, so its a fairly old piercing that has just started hurting, i clean it every day, (with antiseptic cream and ointment) but its very red a very sore
Is this diamond barbell a relatively new piece of jewelry? Do you see any puss, discoloration, or crust around the holes? If this jewelry is somewhat new, my first guess is that you're having a reaction to the metal......especially if it's already healed (although nipples tend to take forever to heal). The website says they sell "custom gold jewelry" --- I wonder what kind of gold your nipple bar is made from? The most dependable stuff is made from "surgical steel" or "implant grade titanium. I would recommend going to a piercing studio, and getting a standard surgical steel barbell (like the kind they would use for a new piercing). That way, you can keep the old piercing and give your nipple a chance to re-heal. BTW - I am not a piercing expert or anything, so I could be wrong.......just happen to have a bunch of them (includes both nipples). One forum you can go to for dependable information from people that actually perform piercings is here: http://tonguestud.com/forum/index.php
Serves you right. Why the fuck would you ever get a nipple piercing, anyway? Well ... don't mind me, lucifer - I just get unbelievable satisfaction from hearing people complain about terrible rashes and infections because they pierced some weird region of their body.
I've got one of mine pierced and the only use it has now is putting meathooks through the hoop hang a frying pan of it and chase waitress's round while beating it like a drum with wooden spoons
Yeah, and now your piercing is extremely red and sore. Talk about fun! Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
