What do you feel is worse for children to be exposed to. Sex or violence.

I ask because I see so much violence on TV, They show people getting shot, killed, beaten etc. But they cannot even show a womans breast.

    Thoughts...

i think that the mums and dads should decide for themselves what they're kids can and cannot watch, and sex and violence are shown to much on TV i agree, but if it is a young child watching a sexy film, or a violent film, and it is on after 10 o'clock (like they are) what are the kids still doing awake?!

real sex or real violence? The violence my kids see on TV and movies isn't real. They know that. I'm gonna have issues with my kids seeing porn.

I have to say sex. They are boys and tend to watch movies
with violence and play Xbox games with violence too. It depends
though how much bad language is in it. A few words here and there
that they know if I hear them repeat WATCH OUT! is one thing. If it
is filled with swearing then no. At their age I have a problem more with Sex.

i think that if your kids know the differance between film violence then its ok to a certain degree, however being exposed to sex at a young age isnt good,

Well yeah. They understand that it is all fake violence. They know that the guy
from RAMBO is the same guy from ROCKY. So they understand the whole concept
of what is real and what isn't.

Neither portrayal of sex or violence is worse than the other, only that the consequences of each are not depicted adequately.

Everything is shown as consequence free on TV, and that's the real problem.

I actually have a question. I have seen a quite a few movies with my kids, that are oriented to their age group. Why does it seem that they are injecting so many of these movies with so much homosexual inuendos? Is that really necessary?

because we're being forced to except homosexuality has a way of life, our kids are taught its ok to be gay at school, and they seem to think that having it in childrens films will make us say "yes its fine to be gay"

    --------------

for the record, it is ok to be gay, bi sexual, A sexual its ok, but its NOT ok to subject our kids to it when they watch TV

SO you think it is more appropriate for them to see someone get killed, then to see a naked female.

What is this naked female doing? Is it a glimpse of someone naked?
Is it a sex scene? What?

Well they have watched History documentaries of ppl getting killed. So do you not want
them to watch history shows about the war?
They have watched Braveheart, Last of the Mohicans, etc.
    Is that not acceptable?

They understand what they are watching, if it is real (history) or if it is all fake hollywood blood.

I've noticed that too!!! Disclaimer: I don't think there is anything wrong with being gay.

But yeah, its like so filled with it, and I think it is the film industries attempt to start getting people to be ok with homosexuality at a young age. Like gay propaganda. But I think they are going about it wrong, because its like they are associating homosexuality with someone who should be laughed at.
