was it a dare? cause don't you have to like cure it or something???????

    same for olives, acorns, blowfish

first one to eat them must have gotten sick or dead, so why did they keep eating or are starving cooks just good scientists (trial & error), always trying new things together until they like it????????

my ex-gf came back from France in Nov & so I got some of the highlights

    just wondering:shrug:

How is a snail any different than a shrimp or a cow? They all seem like unlikely sources of nourishment.

The first person who ate a snail was probably not a homo sapiens.

Best way to eat them is straight from the bush, still alive.

It's essentially the same thing, you just see what you eat then.

I find escargot (snails) very delicious. Perhaps the first humans saw animals eating the snails and then tried them themselves.

Acorns are poisonous???? I've eaten one and I'm still around.
Olives. Definitely not poisonous. Eaten Millions.
    Blowfish. Not sure.
Snails. Haven't eaten one. But I think that it's the flavouring and sauces
    which make them attractive.

The French invented Steak au Poivre and Pomme Frites.
Or Steak and chips as we call it across the channel.
No trouble there. When in Restaurantland eat as the French do.
You can depend on the French as regards food.

Yes I do and it tastes very good! Not all fish but many varieties are delicious and the Chinese as well as Japanese have been eating raw fish for centuries!

Yep, I'm not big on it although I kinda like raw salmon slices. Every once in a while I also have a salty or pickled herring.
