Receling is the simple process of reusing things. However, the reson it can't be argued against is it is Good for industry and enviroment. If you recycle steel, there is X amount of money making steel you don't spend. This is the real beauty, the fact it cheapens industrial goods. Not that it helps the earth, but it helps industry

According to the program Bullshit!, the only material that is economically recycled is the aluminium can. Everything else is a moneyloser, thus it cost LESS to make it instead of recycling it...

There you go. Good enough argument??

I hope you realize that it costs money to recycle. It's a long process and a lot of work goes into it.

As Oniw17 said, it's also inconvenient. That's a type of cost.

Who shops at the gap? (equivalent to a 2nd hand store)

    Just kidding.

But yea it can be expensive to recycle, thats the argument against it. I like recycling though.

When recycling becomes a more common practice, then the prices to do it will go down.

That is a nice although false assumption. In the West, Washington and California states recycling is very common. I could argue that it is already common practice and most households are already recycling. That doesn't make it a profitable practice.. Actually, more you recycle, more energy is wasted while separating and cleaning the recycled material...

People dont recycle because it makes them take an extra 2 mins out of their day that they could otherwise have to watch American Idol.
