I've always eaten peanuts with the shells on for as long as I can remember. It's delicious, an excellent form of fiber, and has never had any rough effects on my digestion, yet it's considered weird. Anyone else eat peanuts like this?
No...no one has....you're just weird. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! j/k I haven't eaten peanut shells, but I have eaten sunflower seeds whole.
Yes! I used to eat them separately, peanut first then the shell. But I recently discovered that if you just eat them together whole, it tastes kinda like a peanut butter sandwich. Peanut shells tend to be salty which may be why I like it so much as I have chronic low blood pressure. But it's just delicious. If you haven't tried it, you should.
Maybe you should try it then? Sunflower seed shells are tougher I think. If you like them, maybe you'll like the peanut shells. Has that ever bothered your digestion? Because I see no effect and I'm beginning to wonder why we're told not to eat them to begin with.
Not as much as you'd think. Especially with the peanut still inside. However, with the peanut still inside you run the risk of aspirating those little flaking skin bits of the peanut...know what I mean?
And can contain pesticides and all sorts of nasty stuff! Really, you might be harming yourself by eating peanuts shells.
Yeah I don't eat them very often either. But when I do, it's the only way. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
hmmm I haven't checked on that, but it sounds like it could be true  Do you wash the peanutshells off first Mrow?
Unfortunately no...it wouldn't be salty then and would probably taste like wood. Can someone check on this? I haven't found anything yet.
I eat peanuts like that. But It's mainly becuase I'm too lazy to open one after the other. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
