Would you suddenly hate your parents if...?

Flipping through the scandal rags recently I came across two stories which convinced me that perhaps the sexual revolution was all for naught!

The sexual revolution was supposed to persuade us humans that nudity and sexuality are not inherently evil or even objectionable. Most people nevertheless still have the same embarrassments theyve always had...or at least since the days of ancient Greece.

I wonder though if people are simply embarrassed of a perceived ugliness...rather than nudity itself.

A famous movie star recently threatened her cinematographer that if he didnt make her "arse" look splendid on film...he would never work again in hollywood!

Pretty boy Brad Pitt recently announced that he would no longer do nude scenes, because he would be im-bare-assed if his kids ever saw it!

So, let me ask...would you suddenly hate your parents if you happened to see them naked???

Hell no. Been there done that. The sexual position was far more upsetting.

Nope. I've probably seen uglier people naked before. No, I'm quite sure I've see uglier people naked before.

I walked in on my parents....in the middle of the day....as a teenager.

 

Ah...but "upsetting" how exactly?

No, I wouldn't WANT to, but it's natural. It's natural to want to have sex, it's in human nature. But what is being hardwired into human nature recently is the instant disgust and ridicule of nudity or sex of two people before full marriage. I agree with the need for movement away from the shamefullness of nudity. Of course, it's not okay to walk around naked, that is shameful. But nudity shouldn't be looked down upon with disgust. We're all human.

 

My mom was super embarrassed. My Dad avoided all eye contact for quite some time.
I still remember the bedspread, time of day, what I was wearing, what I was in there for....burned into my brain!

Ok, but where does the shame come from then...if not from disgust???

If they hadnt been embarrassed...would you still find it upsetting???

 

Nudity not soo much, but if i saw my mum going at it, that would deeply upset me. My mum just is soo innocent and sweet, i can't (refuse) get why head around it.

 

Right...so you believe that sexuality is contrary to innocence.

That it is evil...in some way, no?
