Do you listen to soundtracks of games, movies or shows ?
Do you genuinely like their Theme song or just the other songs ?
e.g, You could like a song they used in the film, rather than its theme.
For instance, I have all the Halo soundtracks, but i only listen to some of the others that i have.

    How about this

In 1994 (Brian) Eno was approached by Mark Malamud and Erik Gavriluk, senior designers at Microsoft on the Chicago project. The result was the six-second start-up sound for the Windows 95 operating system, commonly called The Microsoft Sound. From an interview with the San Francisco Chronicle:
“ The idea came up at the time when I was completely bereft of ideas. I'd been working on my own music for a while and was quite lost, actually. And I really appreciated someone coming along and saying, "Here's a specific problem – solve it." The thing from the agency said, "We want a piece of music that is inspiring, universal, blah-blah, da-da-da, optimistic, futuristic, sentimental, emotional," this whole list of adjectives, and then at the bottom it said "and it must be 3¼ seconds long." I thought this was so funny and an amazing thought to actually try to make a little piece of music. It's like making a tiny little jewel. In fact, I made 84 pieces. I got completely into this world of tiny, tiny little pieces of music. I was so sensitive to microseconds at the end of this that it really broke a logjam in my own work. Then when I'd finished that and I went back to working with pieces that were like three minutes long, it seemed like oceans of time.

My favorite soundtracks to listen to are Tangerine Dream's score for Legend and Ennio Morricone's for The Mission. Here's a weird one, though ... I heard "Gabriel's Oboe" as a vocal piece on some Celtic Women music special making the rounds on PBS a couple years ago. Also, the song was used in an early trailer for the movie First Knight. And I think it turned up at the Olympics recently. Ice skating. Or something.

The guitar soundtrack for "Days of Heaven", modified into different tunes, may be my favorite guitar album. It's called "Burnt Lips", by Leo Kottke.

Not so much soundtracks as wholes, but certain stretches of them, seem to have a lot of influence - the arias and overtures of our time ?

The theme whistle from "The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly", or Morricone's waterfall chorus from "The Mission", or the "Mission Impossible" intro - my guess is that a good many people went to the movie to hear that theme through real speakers.

I enjoyed the Soundtrack to the movie "Judgement Night".
I also liked "The crow" soundtrack.

I want to get the soundtrack to the movie "Andrameda strain". I imagine it would be rather interesting.

I voted "I only listen to some soundtracks" because most of the one's I've heard are stupid.
