Here's an interesting story a friend sent to me. I was going to put it up on the religion forum, but it is fiction. http://fringe.davesource.com/Fringe/Entertainment/Books/Scott_Adams.Gods_Debris.pdf
I've read it but was dissappointed. I thought Richard Bach did a better job with Illusion and Jonathon livingston seagull though I know Debris is making a different point...in a way.
People often need to be reminded of that which has already been said. History is replete with plagiarism in one form or another. "The Da Vinci Code" is only a revamp of a book written in the 1980's by three English researchers, yet it made far more than they ever did. In order to make information worthwhile, you must make it entertaining. In order to make it entertaining, you must distort the facts. History is a gyp.
Hey Marquis, How are you? I hope all is going well with you. I''m still out here in SEA. Anyway back to the thread. I must of missed something what does history and plagiarism have to do with Debris?
I have no idea. I was stunningly drunk on Bushmills last night, remembered posting in quick succession in several threads here, and have signed back on this morning in order to entertain myself by finding out if I wrote anything completely stupid. I think in this case I was seizing on the idea that someone had witten a similar book before and posted about that. In the main, I'm fine... life has taken a turn for the better. I have some kangaroos to thank for that, I think.
