Oh dear, the guy featured in that video doesn't half milk the media, and this time it's using a rather stupid idea. Credit/debit cards will be used, the magnetic strip and chip being replaced by a holographic section read by a laser, augmented using biometrics. In the future, cash will be a thing of the past, plus, if I cough up $200k for a flight on Virgin Galactic, I'd expect the refreshments to be thrown in, although preferably not during the weightless period, ....!!
future money will be made from solid gold squares, with every purchase you will have to use a sophisticated grinding wheel with vacuum cleaner in it and then use a sophisticated laser to melt the gold to the other persons cube. The ID is to make the money so inconvenient that it's so much of a hassle that you would spend it to get rid of it  spacemoney?
space currency will be mostly in loan/grants/contracts at the core of which will be energy in every sector imaginable.
