Nonsense. People have used the power of Skyforums to fix their car, choose a new hard drive and eradicate global poverty - and that's in the last month alone!
sciforums is not in sciforums database Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! meanwhile "sci forums" is.
well than speaking English. When you write "sciforums" the sciforums text editor highlights the word "sciforums" with red. If you right click on the word than the suggested correction is "sci forums". Do you understand it now, shichimenshyo?
yes and another one to quote for me, " you need to go out draqon" or as Nickelodeon simply puts, "you need to go and have sex with a woman now, draqon" I heard it...moving on.
YES oh god yes they can cause we all listen and share experiences and never judge we can talk bout how and what things go on in diff countries how to solve them or hope to have sumone out there that will inderstand how we feel and we can talk how others feel by just chatting bout it
I don't think that any forum on its own can solve any issues, but certainly what internet forums do is to bring new and old issues to the fore and do create debate on a massively unprecendented scale, which can influence debate on said issues in the mainstream media/political arena thereby influencing public opinion in a much quicker time scale than it ever could have before the advent of the internet.
Don't downplay communications. Don't downplay the value of information and ideas being exchanged. That's basically what the internet and message boards are doing. I can order parts for a car I'm rebuilding through one forum I can fix/build a computer through another I've seen people find jobs, barter, housing, recipes, warnings, etc through message boards (loose smattering of random junk off the top of my head). Sciforums can solve plenty of "real life" issues IMO.
If they can't get mensans and other high IQ groups to do it, I doubt Sciforums will be any different. You would need a focused forum, specifically designed with the intention of solving any number of worldly problems. Otherwise, people will just come for the punch and pie, so to speak.
