Supposing there was a drug, that was non-addictive, cheap and readily available. A drug that completely erased whatever variety of physical or psychological suffering a human being could experience, aside from hunger and thirst. But with one drawback, it would completely kill any and all ambition you might have. While under the influence, you would no longer be motivated to do anything in life besides sit under a tree in perpetual bliss. You would lose your interest in money, sex, marriage, having children, adventure, status, power...or indeed anything that requires striving and struggle. Would you take it???
The only time most people are truly peaceful is when they are in the deepest stages of sleep, without even dreams.
Got any ? This might be a problem, though... I couldn't very well be bothered to interrupt my bliss to grill up a hamburger, now could I ? :scratchin:
Remember, you'll be living in abject poverty...not that you'll mind. Fishing might be more receptive to your new found serenity.
Under the exact terms as you've described it, absolutely! Since it's non-addictive and will cure any physical problem, I'd take it for about a week and stop. If I developed another physical problem later on, I'd use it for another week or so and stop. (And repeat as needed.)
Oh, yeah... Who's gonna give me a fishing pole, though...? LoL Matter of fact, could you just buy me a fish sammich from "Mickey D's" ? No ? eh... I needed to lose a few pounds, anyway... Groovy day, ain't it ? Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
Ah, but it only works while youre taking it. So if you had a serious physical problem you would have to take it continuously, with all the attending drawbacks.
A fish is the easiest food to catch. For example, if youre lost in the woods, you have a better chance of catching a fish than any other food source like birds or bears. You cant eat leaves...sorry. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
Nope - now you're changing the game in midstream. You originally said, "..completely erased.." and that means GONE, disappeared, vanished completely. What you're attempting to say now is that it just relieves the symptoms and makes you feel fine. So be careful of your choice of words next time - it's to late to modify this one. this is easy, of course i would take it. Except if i stop taking it and i realize i'm in rags sitting under a tree and haven't bathed in a month, i will be very depressed. And then I would really need to take that drug again so I don't have to face the reality of my situation. That would be a type of addiction or crutch. Sounds awesome though, nirvana.
Wrong again, sorry. In the sentence that contains THAT phrase you go on to list additional conditions that are experienced. It in no way changes or modifies previously stated conditions. (It's easy to see that you haven't spent much time with legal doucments. Three rules apply: wording, wording, wording. It's everything - intent counts for nothing if not specified.)
