With our current energy problems, why is no one talking about coal gasification?

    Coal gasification ???

    Old hat..

    Cars went around with large bags of coal gas on their roofs during WW11.

    Coal will run out eventually too, and it has the same problems associated with greenhouse gasses. The return on energy invested is also less.
