Damn it. There goes the one Yankee I could respect. What's weird is that I was talking about this the other day with my father, over a beer. At the Dubliner in Seattle. Creepy. I figured he would be around a few years longer. He's had a great run in the House That Ruth Built. Sincerely, at that moment, like, watching a D-backs game, I think, last weekend, my father and I were talking about Torre in terms of a fifteen to twenty year run, another legendary chapter in the baseball mythos.
