200 Mile meteor on collision course to earth.

What would you do if a meteor 200 miles in diameter was on a collision course with earth and it would hit us in, say, a week ?

I am torn between 4 and 7, I guess I'll choose 4 then.. maybe to do 7 on the last day.

I would open up a line of communication with the meteor and ask it politely to change its travel plans. Mars is also nice this time of the year.

If that fails I will send in Bruce Willis to kick its ass.

 

Well..for one thing...I'd forget about quitting smoking...maybe give heroin a try...and have as much sex as possible.

I would be having a fierce argument with my wife because I would want to go to the impact zone and she would want to take her chances where she is right now. However, if the impact zone happened to be where we are right now, she would be the first to suggest that we move to the other side of the planet...drives you mad doesn't it?

 

I would EAT,EAT,EAT, at least you wouldn't have to worry about Calories and i find someone to copulate with, preferally someone way out of my league (No harm trying)

 

I would speed up construction of my meteor-proof underground bunker. I'd then hide 5 golden tickets in chocolate bars and those 5, (as long as they're blonde and female around 20-25), could come and stay with me

Yep, I'd do the bunker thing. Try and put as much distance between the landing site and me as I could.

It's not going to help you when the meteor is as large as I described. To give you an idea, the meteor that (supposedly, but thats another debate) wiped out the dinosaurs was about 6 miles in diameter.

I'd quit doing everything else and meditate on that sublime event somewhere near the sea.

 

Being that there's no other purpose to life than survival, I'd try to survive. What else is there to do? Nothing else will matter in 8 days. All the sex you had will be for naught. All the drugs you took won't matter. Neither the alcohol, nor the looting, nor even the religion. Nothing will be different about your fate. Nothing will have changed. Welcome to naturalistic evolution and environmental shift.

 

There is no way you could survive that impact. The oceans will boil, the land will burn, the life on Earth will be gone.
Maybe only some bacteria 3km deep under the surface living in rock will survive.

That's the same as if you would have said that you'd try to survive on the surface of planet Venus.
