View Full Version : Witch Hazel?
What is it?
Is it just alcohol and water?
The label says:
Active Ingredient - Witch Hazel 86% (that doesn't help)
Inactive Ingredient - Alcohol 14% by volume.

I believe it's the active ingredient in hemorhoid medicine.
Witch Hazel is a plant, and also an astringent extracted from the plant.

Spectacular!
Let's review:
A: Good for hemorhoid (or rather bad for them). If none is available use a rubber band.
B: It (Witch hazel) is a plant
C: Use Googoo - it's for smart people.
Got it.

Hamamelis Virginiana (Witch hazel)
Contains
Tannins, which constrict the area of injury.
Antiseptics
No-one says it doesn't work.
Probably not greatly promoted because not patentable
It's crushed up extract of witches. They make it after they try to drown a woman and she doesn't sink. I learned that in Biology class.
