So I went to the Cleveland Air Show today and was sorely disappointed. First off, there were NO stealth jets of any kind. Second off, there were hordes of peace activists deluging the city with annoying pamphlets, chanting and speachgiving. Damned hippies! Third off, I was lead to believe that there would be a contingent of foreign jets there. I was hoping for a glimpse of the Rafale or the Eurofighter. No such luck. Though I doubt I'd see anything Russian made outside the air shows of BIG cities, I was still hoping. Lastly, I should have bothered to do a little research to see if it was going to be the Navy Blue Angels or the Air Force Thunderbirds. Alas, it was the T-Birds who always disappoint. They didn't even bother to break the sound barrier ONCE, unlike the Blue Angels. They swooped around and did some moderately impressive air maneuvers and that was it. Guess I'll to trek to DC to see a real air show. ~String
Jeez teams are allowed to supersonic over there at air shows? I thought there very strict limits on when and where booms were allowed.
We've got a big lake (Erie) to the north, they can get away with a lot more when flying over it! ~String
Ok, I know this is not relevant. But I own a thunderbird. You must not title your threads like that Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
Your a dumb*ss NO jet teams are allowed to go supersonic. and the Thunderbirds are the fastest flying jet team in formation, and during the sneak pass they fly just as fast as the blue angels. Thunderbirds are the best team in the world, 18 inches apart (fuselage to canopy) at 500+ mph. If you don't like the USAF Thunderbirds....Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! There is something majorly wrong with you. Get a life, and who cares about foreign jets.
