Or, to better phrase it, what per centage of regular users could kill themselves without surprising you? We seem to have quite a lugubrious membership.

The actual number might be surprising, given that we've got so many young and unstable people here.

Do you want an exact, precise, scientific number, or would it be okay to round up or down to whole numbers?

This would have been hard to believe anyone on this site is suicidal, but i guess after reading some of the threads about broken hearts they jumped off their roof after typing their thread.

The title was too short for the obvious exceptions; I leave it to Members™ to decipher.

I wonder if the thread i started inspired this thread???? Sometimes i'm suicidial depends on my mood.

Im going abused for saying this , but In theory isn't everyone a bit sucidal?, like isn't there different degrees of suicide. For example crossing the middle of a busy street without using traffic light , could be seen as a small act of suicide.

    Or am i talking crap????

There are alot of extremists on this board, so defintely a reasonable percentage

But, then again, if I had to, I would also die for my country (suicide)

So far, 5-15% has the lead. This seems rather optimistic to me.

The "likely candidates" are all either too lazy to make the effort, too stupid to figure out how to pull it off without just causing themselves [more] brain damage, to irresolute to make the decision to go through with it, or too namby-pamby to get past the thought that their might be pain involved.

This would apply to most who become suicidal. And just about everyone has or will at one time think of suicide in times of great tragedy or stress. It is does not apply to just the supposed emotionally 'unstable' as a stable mind and situation can become chaotic when life throws in a mean and unexpected curveball. For instance, someone who loses thier child tragically may think of suicide but that doesn't mean they have a mental problem, it's quite natural under the grievous circumstances. No one is immune.
